Free Comics Day
May 2, 2009 – 9:53 pmToday was Free Comic Book Day and Comic Fusion of Flemington was one of the sole stores in NJ participating this year that had appearances by local artists. Free Comic Book Day is also a great tool in promoting literacy. I took the kids there where they met a few characters and picked up some free books. Apparently we were too late to catch Cyclops, but there were other characters on hand. Artists Erica Hesse and Scott Barnett were available to draw portraits. My youngest son now has a head shot of Wolverine drawn by Scott on his wall.
